I am a born and bred Portlander but once I became a mom, I found it hard to organize through everything that goes on in Portland and find some good things to do with my kids. So now, when I find something cheap/free that actually is pretty awesome to do, I want to share it with other parents experiencing my same problems. And in between all this, some cool arts and crafts just for kicks.

The Shanghai Tunnels
Said to be one of the most haunted places in Portland, these passages run underneath Old Town/Chinatown down to the central downtown section of Portland, Oregon. They connect the basements of many downtown hotels and bars, leading all the way to the Willamette River waterfront. Many people believe that the spirits of those who died in the tunnels from drugs, disease, injuries and murder are still there. Tours of the haunted tunnels are offered almost every day for kids ages 5 and up. They offer a daylight tour of the tunnels on select dates that is appropriate for kids ages 4 and up. Visit their website for details.
