2014 Haunted MAiZE

The Original Haunted MAiZE at The Pumpkin Patch opens its unlit pathways to let brave patrons wander through four acres of terrifying twists and turns. The darkness of the four acre field, the eerie sound of rustling corn, and the creatures lurking around each corner, make for a perfect night in the country for those seeking thrills and chills.  The Haunted MAiZE is more than a frightening trail through a cornfield. It has become one of Portland’s most popular haunted attractions.

The show goes on regardless of the weather, so arrive prepared.  The MAiZE staff asks that you not bring, flashlights, dogs, or masks to the event… leave the scaring and the howling to them!  This haunt is perfect for families, teens, and Halloween enthusiasts who will find an array of chilling experiences in this unique farm setting.

2014 MAiZE at The Pumpkin Patch

Portland Corn Maze
Portland’s original cornfield maze celebrates its 16th season at The Pumpkin Patch on beautiful Sauvie Island in Portland, Oregon. Sixteen years ago, Craig Easterly, founder of the original corn maze, brought his weird idea to Sauvie Island’s famous Pumpkin Patch and it soon became a fall tradition.  The MAiZE attracts 30,000 eager explorers annually to the giant labyrinth of field corn, located just fifteen minutes from downtown Portland.  Portland’s premier agri-tainment attraction, The Maize and The Pumpkin Patch, have combined the local food movement with down home fun on the farm.

The iconic Big Red Animal Barn, 100 year old oak tree, and of course, a tractor pulling in a load of pumpkins are all represented in this classic farm themed MAiZE design.  The MAiZE encourages visitors to come out and enjoy the rest of this fantastic summer we have all been enjoying as they lose themselves in the two miles of twist and turns in the five acre cornfield.
